UNLEASHED to Brastagi! -- Day 3

Day 3 - 25 May 2008

It was the last day of the trip. This morning, we had a special guest, Wilson NC. He came to Brastagi with his family the day before. Unexpectedly, he ended up being our cook. Hahaha. He helped us to prepare our breakfast. Thanks a lot!

Before lunch, we went to visit Vihara Dhamma Shanti. It is just a stone's throw from our villa. All of us walked to there. Since everybody was already hungry, we did not spend much time here. We had lunch on a Restaurant called "Siang Malam". There were noone else in the restaurant except us. Despite that, the food was quite okay, though I thought there were too much MSG. The only left to do was to pack up and went back to Medan. Just before we started to move out, it rained again. These 3 days, it rained almost in the exact time, around 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. I wondered everybody else realised it or not. The trip back to Medan was quite fast. It took only about one and a half hour.

Okay, that's the end of our trip. Last word, it was very fun! And thanks for reading

UNLEASHED to Brastagi! -- Day 2

New day, new adventure!

Day 2 - 24 May 2008

Today... Our destination was Taman Simalem Resort or aka Pearl of Lake Toba. It was where we had our 'jungle tracking'. It took us 2 hour to there. As soon as we arrived, I was really amazed!
It was really fascinating. The view, the agricultural farm, the infrastructure, everything! I was indeed in my full spirit.

It was already about noon when we were going to start 'jungle tracking'. In order to pump up our stamina, we had a box of snack! There were actually 4 tracks. Unfortunately, since we did not have enough time, we did not take track 3, which spent the most time of all. Before we started, we were divided in 3 groups. One lead by Farrand(Class Monitor), one by Ubi(Vice CM), and last
one by Darius(expert in Hash!). I was with our lovely CM.

==Track 1===

From the very beginning, I was really challenged by the difficulty of its track. It was mostly ascending track. Well, I admitted it took quite a lot of my stamina. The end of track 1 was at the river where there were two waterfalls. We stopped there for a while to rest and took photographs.

==Track 2==
If the first one was mostly ascending, this one was mostly descending. Although it didn't take
much stamina, it was actually making my leg exhausted. Why??? It's because my leg had to support my body from falling down when I walked descendingly. Actually, this track was towards to the way out of the jungle. But, just before the way out, there was a place to have another break. It was near the continuation of the river.

Unexpectedly, it was already nearly 4 hours since we entered the jungle. On the way back to the cafe, we passed by the hill of orange farm. All of us were in the most exhausted state when we reached the cafe. We had our buffet meal there. After everyone was full, we decided to continue for the next one. The bad news was... it started to rain again! However, every UNLEASHED members with full spirit decided to continue! UNLEASHED!!! WHO CARES!!!

==Track 4==
It was only a trip to see another waterfall. It is believed that there were ghost there... In fact, the only thing unique in this track was we had to pass the river using a block of wood. It was quite okay... better than nothing, though.

Day 2 ended quite boring. We were stuck on our way home. I thought it was the rain that made us met a long traffic jam. Despite that, I was really satisfied. This would be one of the best day I had ever had!

UNLEASHED to Brastagi! -- Day 1

It has been 3 days since I came back from Brastagi. I just posted this after I am fit enough. The trip really exhausted me. Hahaha.
Here goes brief story about my trip!

Day 1 - 23 May 2008

It was 7 a.m. in the morning. I had my self ready and wait for Aristo. It was about half past seven when I departed to Asia Megamas (it's where we decided to gather!). As expected, there was still nobody. There were only the bus and its driver. After everyone came (it was 9.30 a.m.! OMG!), we started our trip! Yeah!

The first stop was at Green Hill City. Well, it was not fully developed yet. We just had some photos there.

Actually, we decided to continue have a walk in Tahura(Taman Hutan Raya). However, there was a little obstacle. It started to rain as we were walking in. Fortunately, I had prepared for it. After we had been waiting for several minutes, we decide just to go straight to villa and had a rest.

First thing first, we had to decided where to sleep. After several considerations and discussions, I decided to sleep on sofa. To spend the rest of time before we started the BBQ, we played volley ball.

Around 8 p.m., BBQ started. Everyone was busy on preparing it. While that, we heard a news from TV that the fuel prices were decided. The government raised the prices instead of giving more subsidized. After BBQ finished, they decided to watch horror movie. Well, I didn't really have an interest of it, so I just went to sleep first.

End of Day 1

Happy Vesak 2552!

Namo Buddhaya, Happy Vesak Day!

On 19 May 2008 night, I went to Vihara Borobudur with my family. I participated in the Puja Bakti (although it was a little late). There was prosesi lilin as usual. That night, we had a rumination for a while about "To be the light of the life". In short, it was about you gave you love to everyone around you. You decided deep in your mind that you were ready to be "light of their life".

The next day, I went there again with Sandoko. Unfortunately, I was late again. We missed the countdown. While we were going to have lunch, Harris came. We also met Elline with her family. Since there was nothing to do, we went to a bazaar nearby. (Thanks to Elline's suggestion!) The bazaar was not bad. Indeed, it was fascinating. I killed my time walking around there. I bought a box of Angsio Rice and ate it with Sandoko... Time passed very fast. I decided to went to Sandoko's house. (I posted this in Sandoko's house! Hahaha ^^)

What Was I Doing This Week? Kinda Boring...

After sort of events last week, finally I could take a rest for this week. I spent most of my time in my own room this week. All I was doing are tidying my rooom and reading "Foundation of Algorithms". Well, I also killed some of my time doing my English homework.

Today, 18 May 2008, I went to cinema with Budianda cs. We watched the 2nd sequel of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. Unbelievably, it was very amazing! It got everything in this movie. There were comedy, romance, action, etc. I even did not touch my drink while I was in there. Hahaha. Well, for everyone who want to go to cinema, I really recommended this movie. Although you had not watch the 1st sequel, I thought it did not matter much. I guaranteed that you will like it!

I am looking forward to Vesak Day and my trip to Brastagi. I will share my experience later. See you in coming posts.

The Night of Starlight

It was 11 May 2008. That night was a farewell party for 45th generations XII students from Sutomo 1 High School. I arrived there at about 5.30 p.m. Since the invitation cards were taken by our class monitor, I had to wait for him. Before all of us went inside, we received a At 7.00 p.m. sharp, the event started.

The event went smoothly as planned. The shows were perfect. However, for no reasons, it became a little out of track. People started to walk around and took photos. I did it myself ^^. I even went to backstage to take photos.

Last word... Thanks for the committee. All of you did a very great job!

First, but Meaningful!

Hi everyone! Just as everybody suggest, I also create my own blog here! Hehehe...
Well, as you know, this is my first post! However, I do very happy to post something today!

Today, 10 May 2008, I am eighteen! I had a very nice day today! It's one of the best day in my life! This morning, I had my Project Demonstration. For some reasons, it didn't go as planned. However, everything was okay, thanks to Aristo! After the event, my friends asked me to play Yakuza with them. Well, that moment, I didn't even have any suspicion. Everything seemed very normal. I was really surprised and happy.

In their play, Sandoko was the moderator. Well, he indeed did his job very well. He made the game ran absolutely normal. While I was still closing my eyes, they prepared everything. When I opened my eyes, the cake has been in front of me! I couldn't even say something while they started to sang "Happy Birthday" for me. The only thing I could do next was saying thank you again and again. I made my wish and blew the candle. Well, common ritual. Next, of course, I shared the cake with them. Just after I cut the first piece of the cake, they started to put all over the cream in my face! Yeah, all I could do was to accept it... Even though, this added the fun, hehehe!

Well, I admit it. Your idea is very great! For 18 years in my life, this is the greatest birthday I had ever had. With this, I send my thanks to all my friends! Wish you all the best!
